Trevoh Chalobah Returns to Training, Christopher Nkunku Works with First Team Group, Promising Comeback for Clash Against Liverpool

Work on the training pitches at Cobham continued today for Mauricio Pochettino and his Chelsea players ahead of our Premier League trip to Liverpool on Wednesday evening.

The midweek clash at Anfield will restart our top-flight campaign; the Blues haven’t been in league action since overcoming Fulham at Stamford Bridge on January 13.

It will also act as a dress rehearsal for the Carabao Cup final next month. Our place at Wembley was secured after Middlesbrough were defeated over two legs. Jurgen Klopp’s side, meanwhile, eliminated our west London neighbors, Fulham.

Liverpool enter Wednesday night’s game as the Premier League leaders. Chelsea are ninth in the table but have taken just two fewer points than the Reds over the previous six league matches.

Back out on the grass today was goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. The Spain international undertook individual work as he continued his recovery from injury.

Trevoh Chalobah was involved in the session once again—the Academy graduate is in the reconditioning phase of his comeback—and Christopher Nkunku was also working with the first-team group.

We have picked out our favourite images from training today at Cobham
