Georgina Rodriguez has celebrated turning 30 in the Maldives with partner Cristiano Ronaldo, 2,300 miles away in Saudi Arabia.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo is back in the Middle East after seeing Al-Nassr cancel a two-game tour of China. Those fixtures were postponed until a later date as the Portuguese superstar has picked up an untimely injury and would have been unable to feature in the games.

Ronaldo has returned to Riyadh but does not have his long-time partner by his side. That is because Georgina has taken the opportunity to relax and unwind on white beaches by the crystal-clear water in the Indian Ocean. That journey has been made when reaching a landmark birthday.

Georgina has revealed on Instagram that Ronaldo was in touch with her as she turned 30, as they spoke on a video call, with a huge bouquet of flowers sent in her direction. She was also able to enjoy a dinner with family and friends after celebrating her 30th.

Ronaldo is working on his fitness back in Saudi Arabia, with the 38-year-old facing a race against time to put himself in contention for a reunion with eternal rival Lionel Messi on February 1, with Al-Nassr readying themselves for a meeting with MLS side Inter Miami.
