Today marks one year since Enzo Fernandez’s transfer to Chelsea, and he also celebrates his 23rd birthday.

It’s been a full calendar year since Enzo Fernandez made the switch to Chelsea. Today, as he celebrates turning 23, we sat down with the midfielder to reflect on how he has adjusted to life at the Bridge so far.

Joining from Benfica at the end of the 2023 January transfer window, Enzo’s move to London was met with a lot of attention, becoming a record fee and with the midfielder having won the World Cup with Argentina just 45 days prior.

Reminiscing on his first few months at the club, the 23-year-old admits that it took time to adjust to a new life in English football.

However, he insists that this has only increased his drive and determination to reach a consistent level with the Blues, and he has been excited by the challenge posed by the Premier League.

‘The first six months were difficult; the second part of last year was better,’ Enzo began.
