Bayern Munich Eyes Loan Deal for Trevoh Chalobah After His Release from Chelsea in January.

Germany’s Bayern Munich is interested in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah again.

The 24-year-old is battling a hamstring injury but should be fully recovered by the end of the month.

Chelsea is ready to sell Chalobah in order to get money for a left back and a striker. This is because Chalobah is a homegrown player and would be seen as a pure profit.

But Bayern would still rather have a first loan.

Since his summer return to Stamford Bridge, Chalobah has made 63 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions. He had loan spells at Lorient in Ligue 1, Ipswich Town, and Huddersfield in the Championship.

Chelsea is also holding out hope that Borussia Dortmund will boost their offer for Ian Maatsen so that he can join Jadon Sancho, who plays for Manchester United, at the Bundesliga club.

On Wednesday, negotiations continued over a six-month loan for the 23-year-old, with Dortmund CEO Sebastian Kehl offering approximately £3 million.

Since his public split with Erik ten Hag in October, Sancho has been training alone, banished from the first team.

Under his leadership, Dortmund won the German Cup and the Super Cup while he played there from 2017 to 2021. It was great to see him play and score 50 goals in 137 games.

Since moving to Old Trafford for £73 million in 2021, he has not had as much of an effect, and Ten Hag put him on the bench earlier this season because of how he was doing in training.

Maatsen turned down a permanent move to Burnley in the summer, even though he helped the Clarets get promoted to the Premier League the previous year. For Burnley in the Championship, the Dutchman appeared in 39 games.

Alex Matos, meanwhile, has been officially loaned out by Chelsea to Huddersfield Town.

On Saturday, the Blues will play Preston in the third round of the FA Cup. On Tuesday, they will travel to Middlesbrough for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.
