In an attempt to win a Premier League game at home, Manchester United hosted Aston Villa at Old Trafford earlier today. After a sluggish start to the match, John McGinn’s indirect freekick in the 21st minute gave the Red Devils the lead. Just five minutes later, Leander Dendoncker increased Aston Villa’s lead, sending Erik ten Hag’s team into halftime trailing 2-0.

In the 59th minute, Alejandro Garnacho gave Man United a goal back. Twelve minutes later, he equalised for the team. The comeback was ultimately completed by Rasmus Hojlund, who scored in the 82nd minute with a superb finish. The Manchester team managed to hold onto their slim lead and triumph brilliantly 3-2 in front of their home supporters.

Despite making two crucial defensive saves, Onana won’t be happy after giving up two goals in the first half.

He was largely ineffective going forward, although he made a couple of key interceptions within his half.

Evans helped his team recover possession of the ball a couple occasions and handled dаnger when it presented itself.

The French player was excellent in the air and contributed fairly to defence.

Dalot had one shining moment in the last third while doing a good job of covering.

CM: 6.5/10 Kobbie Mainoo

Despite his strong midfield anchoring, he found it difficult to impact the game in the long run.

CM: 6.5/10 for Christian Eriksen

While Eriksen did not succeed in changing anything in the park’s centre, he did display some glimpses of his potential.

RW: 8.0 for Alejandro Garnacho

The talented young player gave Man United two excellent goals in the second half, which spurred them to victory.

CAM: 7.5/10 for Bruno Fernandes

For the majority of the game, Fernandes was disappointed despite creating some good opportunities for those around him.

LW: 7.5/10 for Marcus Rashford

The quickness of Rashford gave the Aston Villa defenders some fits. To show for his efforts, he has an assist.

ST: 7.5/10 for Rasmus Hojlund

He remained silent for the majority of the match, but in the 82nd, he scored the game-winning goal with a brilliant finish.
