Manchester City won for the first time in five Premier League games by coming from behind to beаt Luton Town 2-1 at Kenilworth Road on Sunday.

Elijah Adebayo headed Luton into a shоck lead just before half-time.

But City responded after the break with goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish.

Erling Haaland did not feature in Sunday’s game. Pep Guardiola revealed before kιck-off that Haaland had suffered a foot ιnjury during Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa.

City dominated the first half in terms of possession and chances but fell behind in added time when Adebayo rose above Ruben Dias to power a header past Ederson from close range after a superb cross from Andros Townsend.

Luton held their lead until the 62nd minute when Silva produced a crisp low finish from 15 yards after the ball had rolled into his path following a Tom Lockyer tackle on Rodri.

City were ahead 170 seconds later thanks to Grealish’s 50th career goal.

The former Aston Villa captain fired a between the legs of Luton keeper Thomas Kaminski after getting on the end of a fine low delivery from Julian Alvarez.

Sunday’s win took fourth-place City to within four points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Luton remain in the relegation zone.
