David de Gea, a former Manchester United goalkeeper who is rumored to be returning due to Andre Onana’s bad performance, had lunch with current Red Ԁevil Sergio Reguilon.

With rumors swirling about a possible return, David de Gea had lunch with current Manchester United defender Sergio Reguilon. 

After 12 years with Manchester United, De Gea’s contract expired at the end of the 2017–18 season, and the club opted not to extend it.

The Spanish goalkeeper won the Golden Glove award for the Premier League, but that wasn’t enough to get a contract extension. 

United then signed Andre Onana, who has bungled several high-profile situations since arriving at Old Trafford.

There have been rumors that De Gea’s return is possible.

When De Gea first came back to the area, it was to clean out his old house in Cheshire. 

But on Wednesday, after meeting for lunch with Reguilon, De Gea posted a photo of the two of them to Instagram with the remark, “Good to see you amigo.” 

The Tottenham loanee has said that De Gea was instrumental in his decision to join United this summer, demonstrating the depth of their friendship. 

Reguilon has made just three appearances for the team since his arrival due to the unavailability of injured players Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.  

I had a long conversation with David, and he filled me in about the club, he said. He assured me that the club you are joining is the best in England. In Spain, each of these athletes is a living legend. I’m a huge Premier League fan.

“David will forever be a legend at this club; he filled me in on everything I needed to know about the players, coaches, staff, fans, and facilities.” He described them as magnificent and amazing. Amazing words are all he ever says.

It’s like a dream come true [to play here]. It will be a great honor to suit up for Manchester [United].

“I’m ready to make my Premier League debut right now.” I’m going to go play some games now. You can count on a tough match every time you visit Old Trafford. The crowd energy in the stadium is unlike anything else and truly unforgettable.

оn Tuesday night, De Gea was alsо sighted at United’s 1-1 Champiоns League match with PSG’s wоme𝚗’s team. 

After quitting Manchester United, the Spanish goalkeeper moved back in with his family in Madrid, where he now lives with his pop star girlfriend Edurne Garcia and their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Yanay. This past summer the pair tied the knot in Menorca.

Despite Onana’s rough start at Old Trafford, several United fans have pointed out that David de Gea is still available.

De Gea, who will turn 33 next month, is reportedly not in a rush to find a new club as he spends quality time with his family.

One of the best goalkeepers in the world may be back in action come January after posting a training video to Instagram and being linked to many major clubs over the summer.
