Barcelona superstar happy at club amid Bayern Munich and Premier League interest

Over the last 24 hours, the European footballing media has been quite proactive in linking Barcelona with a move to German players, including Joshua Kimmich and Florian Wirtz.

But lately, it appears Bayern Munich themselves are now eyeing a swoop for Barcelona superstar Ronald Araujo.

It was reported yesterday that the German giants are interested in signing the young defender, in their bid to reinforce the ranks at the back.

Confirmation from Araujo’s entourage

Diario SPORT has published a follow-up report on Ronald Araujo’s future, claiming that the player’s entourage has indeed confirmed the interest from Bayern Munich.

In fact, Bayern are not the only top club interested in Araujo. The Uruguayan international has also been courted by several English clubs.

This is a worrying sign for Barcelona, as the club do not have the financial capacity to keep hold of their star players such as Araujo.

Araujo trusts the Barça project

However, the report does point out that Ronald Araujo is extremely happy at Barcelona right now and fully trusts the Barça project.

As such, the player has no desire to leave Camp Nou right now, despite being courted by the likes of Bayern and other top European clubs.

Not to mention, Araujo’s current deal at Barcelona does not expire until 2026. The defender has a release clause valued at around €1 billion.

In addition, Araujo has an excellent relationship with coach Xavi Hernandez. The youngster fully trusts Xavi’s project and might even be aware of the fact that he could emerge as one of the leaders of the club going forward.

With that in mind, it is unlikely that Bayern or any other club can lure Araujo out of Camp Nou, at least in the near future.
